Agrofresh Algarve utilizes the most advanced irrigation technology and the latest equipment from international suppliers. Our crops are irrigated using drip irrigation systems, micro-sprinklers, and pivot sprinklers. We also collect rainwater in two dedicated reservoirs to supply our irrigation systems.

Depending on the purpose, product type, and fragility, Agrofresh Algarve employs both manual and mechanical harvesting processes. For manual harvesting, we rely on highly skilled and experienced local workers. For mechanized processes, we use technologically advanced harvesting machines.

 

 

 

Agrofresh Algarve operates state-of-the-art cold storage and curing facilities, along with specialized packing houses for sorting and packaging our products. Our packing houses are constructed with steel structures, sandwich panels, and insulated with thick concrete floors. Across all facilities, we implement multiple levels of quality control and a fully computerized traceability system, ensuring compliance with the highest international standards from harvest to packaging, order processing, and delivery.
